In this edition of YNR Tech I want to share with you a new resource we can use when looking for THE song for your video. Take a look at Friendly Music. They just “opened their doors” today! I know that sometimes it can get really difficult to find a free royalty-free song to use… been there done that. However, this service looks very promising!
How it works
Friendly Music has a catalog of more than 30,000 songs that you can use in (1) video of yours. The songs are priced at a low price of $1.99 and you buy the license to use that song – which you can edit too – to use in one video that you can upload almost anywhere and have unlimited views. You can take a look at the license from Rumblefish (their parent company) which you’ll recieve via email once you complete your purchase.
You get a MP3 file (320k) that you can use in your video editing software and use it as you need instead of doing a complete audio swap (like in Youtube)
Non-commercial use only
Please keep this in mind when thinking about using this service:
From Friendly Music: It means that if you are being paid to make your video, or are charging people to watch your video, or if you are getting revenue from advertising or other sources (other than UGC Network ad share revenue on the video portion of your production) when people watch your video then you have to contact us to negotiate an additional license fee.
Tell us, what do you think of this new service? Will you use it?
