Main Dish: Sweet Chili Chicken Chili

Ronny loves hot sauce on almost everything but I must confess that I try to stay away of it as much as I can. When I learned that Frank’s RedHot has more sauces than just hot sauce I knew that we neede to give it a try. What better way to give it a try to the new Frank’s RedHot Sweet Chili sauce than making chili!

Although you can eat this chili on its own, let me recommend to have it on top of rice. Delish!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
  • 1 med yellow onion, diced
  • 1 can red beans, 15 oz
  • 1 can white beans, 15 oz
  • 1 diced tomatoes, 15 oz
  • 1 can tomato paste with roasted garlic
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup Frank’s RedHot Sweet Chili sauce

Optional:

  • Cheddar cheese, as topping

Cooking Directions

1. Place or pour all ingredients in the slow cooker.

2. Stir to combine the ingredients.

3. Cook for 1 hour on high setting.

4. Cook for 4 hours on low setting.

¡Buen Provecho!

I liek Spicy too! This looks really good and probably so much healthier than making it with red meat!

Yoly, what size is the slow cooker you used? I have a new one but I think it’s so big!!! It says to reduce amount of time if the cooker is not filled to 3/4. I just did 2 lbs of chicken and it was not even 1/2 way filled! Oh and is this recipe really spicy? I’m not used to making chili! Perdón por tanta pregunta!!

Dari, I used a 5qt and it was enough for two meals (for 2). The recipe is not ‘that’ spicy because the brown sugar tames the spicyness. You can add more brown sugar if you think it’s too spicy for you… no worries, ask away!

Thanks Yoly! I’ll make this as soon as I can get that chili sauce!
