Review: This is Why You’re Fat (And How To Get Thin Forever) by Jackie Warner

I loved reading This is Why You’re Fat (And How To Get Thin Forever). For once, I appreciated Jackie Warner; from the reality TV show Workout, bluntness and just being realistic about weight loss. No, I don’t need somebody yelling on my face to motivate me but reading the book it really felt like she knew why my brain is thinking. This was a refreshing change!

One of the things we sometimes object and resist to accept a new workout routine is that we need too much equipment because the moves are almost extravagant in search of being unique. With this book Jackie proofs that you just need willpower and some weights and you are ready to go. Losing weight doesn’t have to be complicated.
It was a good reminder to read that unfortunately changes in our diets go hand in hand with exercise. In her book she starts the program with a 2 week “diet” where you only add healthy foods to your meals. Love that her approach is down to earth. She eases the pain of changing diets to two weeks which is very doable and realistic in this hectic world we live in. Jackie will also tell it like it is when it comes to liquid calories and gives you options that you can live with when visiting restaurants.

In all, I’m reading the book again so that I can start this program as I think it will help me get over this plateau.
